Civil War Website 
– Students will create Civil War Websites using www.weebly.com or www.wix.com 

INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES/ACTIVITIES
Go to www.weebly.com or www.wix.com and sign up for an account
After you finish signing up for an account (or logging into an account you already made), choose a template that you like and begin creating your website.
You will want to make sure you are using the free accounts, if it asks for money, your are in the wrong area.

Your website must have the following pages: Home, North (Union), South (Confederacy), Battles, Vocabulary. You will use the "Pages" tab at the top to add your four new pages. You can delete the "about" and "contact" pages. 

Your home page must contain a brief introduction to your website and your first name. 

You must research each of the following items and write a short entry as to why it was important during the Civil War. If it was a Battle, you must tell me who won. You must also show what website you used to find your information.

You will need to decide which of the four pages the information belongs on and add it to that page.

The Battle of Carthage took place on July 5th, 1861 in Jasper County Missouri. The result of the battle was a victory for the Missouri State Guard over United States troops. This was important because not only was it one of the first battles of the Civil War, it also helped to determine Missouri's course during the Civil War as they were a Border State

After you finish all the terms, make sure your website works correctly, is a easy to navigate and visually pleasing.
